Sculptra

Sculptra or poly-L-lactic Acid (PLLA) is a FDA approved bio-stimulator that is injected into areas of the face, neck and body that lack volume, support and or structure. It helps to stimulate your own natural collagen. It is not a dermal filler.

How Does It Work?

Sculptra is injected under the skin where fibroblasts, a type of cell that is responsible for making collagen, is recruited. The fibroblasts then deposit new collagen in the tissue improving structure and foundation of the skin.

Am I A Candidate for Sculptra?

After the age of 20, we lose about 1 % of our collagen per year! By the age of 40 one can experience up to 20% collagen loss!

If you are noticing the following, you may be a good candidate for Sculptra:

• Depletion of fullness of your face
• Increased facial fine lines, wrinkles, sagginess
• Lack in skin quality

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

On average, 2-3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart is recommended. The amount of injections at each session is determined at your consultation.

When Will I See Results And How Long Do They Last?

Most patients can expect to see results in 4- 6 weeks. Results can last up to 2 years.
